Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2025
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the DachiPlus website or scheduling transportation services. By using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Services provided
DachiPlus LLC provides Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services in Suffolk and Nassau Counties, New York. We transport passengers to and from medical appointments, dialysis centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Services are available 6 AM – 6 PM daily, subject to availability.
DachiPlus is not an emergency medical service. If you or someone you know is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Do not use this service for emergencies.
2. Eligibility and booking
Our services are available to individuals who require transportation to medical appointments and who are not in need of emergency care. Medicaid-covered trips must be authorized through Medical Answering Services (MAS) prior to travel. It is the passenger's responsibility to obtain proper authorization for Medicaid-covered rides.
Booking requests submitted through our website are requests only — they are not confirmed until you receive explicit confirmation from DachiPlus by phone or email.
3. Cancellation and no-shows
- Cancellations should be made as early as possible, and no later than 2 hours before your scheduled pickup time.
- Late cancellations (less than 2 hours notice) or no-shows may result in a fee for private pay passengers.
- Medicaid trips are subject to MAS cancellation policies. Contact MAS directly at 1-844-666-6270 for Medicaid cancellations.
4. Passenger responsibilities
Passengers agree to:
- Be ready at the scheduled pickup time. Drivers will wait up to 5 minutes beyond the scheduled time.
- Provide accurate pickup and destination addresses at time of booking.
- Disclose any mobility equipment needs (wheelchair, walker, oxygen) when booking.
- Treat drivers with courtesy and respect. Abusive, threatening, or disruptive behavior may result in termination of the trip and refusal of future service.
- Not bring hazardous materials, illegal substances, or items that create a safety risk in the vehicle.
5. Payment
We accept the following payment methods for private pay trips:
- Credit and debit cards
- HSA/FSA cards
- Cash
Payment is due at time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Rates vary by trip distance and vehicle type. Contact us for a rate estimate before booking.
Medicaid trips billed through MAS are subject to Medicaid's billing rules. Passengers must not be charged for Medicaid-authorized trips beyond any applicable copayment.
6. Liability limitations
DachiPlus carries commercial auto insurance and general liability insurance as required by New York State. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- DachiPlus is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
- DachiPlus is not liable for missed appointments resulting from circumstances outside our control.
- DachiPlus is not liable for personal property left in vehicles. Passengers are responsible for their belongings.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from a trip shall not exceed the fare paid for that trip.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by our drivers.
